Damashii dojo

Damashii Dojo was officially opened January 1999 having been built by Shihan Peter Volke 6th Dan and Sensei Dorothy Volke 4th Dan next to their home in 50 Haddon School Rd, Haddon, Victoria., Australia.

The Dojo was purpose built with sprung floor, modern facilities and equipment but designed to a traditional Karate format to help the focus remain on the individual’s journey of self discovery and development.

Although Shinkyokushin training is demanding, as any thing of value is, the Dojo has a very strong family feel and a close knit bond develops between students and Instructors. With the focus on traditional training and values being the backbone of the Dojo’s format it none-the-less has an excellent record in competition with numerous State and National titles in Knockdown full contact Karate, point fighting and Kata to its credit.

As with most undertakings of this type the quality of Instructors is crucial and we are fortunate having an excellent balance of International experience and youthful enthusiasm that gets results if students are prepared to put in the effort.
